First topic message reminder :

Jeamesero giggled when suddenly Navin came around and glomped to Kanaya. His nervous feeling disappeared as the pup gave him the courage to stay; this pup still loved him, even though Jeamesero kept his distance from them because he was afraid to hurt them.
"Haha, Navin. Well, Kanaya is sure going to stay, so you don't have to worry about that.", Jeamesero said to Navin, before looking at Kanaya, smiling at her. "Right, Kanaya?"
Looking back at Navin he giggled again, and wagged his tail amused. "Since your father is busy, could you give Kanaya her rank? Pleaseeee?"
Jeamesero looked up when he heard paw steps and smelled the scent of an unfamiliar wolf, his eyes met those of another wolf. He didn't know who it was, but this male didn't seem dangerous.
The Hudson Bay wolf smiled at the newcomer, a quick wag of his tail.
"Um hello, nice to meet you, Scout."

Don't make me sad, don't make me cry.”

A smile crossed her lips, a soft, slight tilt of her lips before she remained in her calm nature. As soon as the smile was plastered on her face, it was gone for good. She had no reason to smile, there was nothing to smile for at this very moment. But it had something to catch her off of guard and actually bring her to smirk.
'Where are you from?..' She questioned for a moment within her mind, realizing the foreign tongue of this wolf. Ophelia was definitively not from this area, her smell told Serena that she was from yet another place, her accent revealed her native tongue yet Serena had no suggestion what kind of language her native one was. It wasn't like she could go and explore the world without eyes. Death would be the only one welcoming her with open arms.
The answer of this femme had pleased her greatly; she had expected a very talkactive canid, one who would throw questions at her, would try to know every single shattered piece of memory of her past. But not this one. While she had approached her, showing confidence, her choice of words rather simple. It was clear from this very moment; Serena liked this fae.
I'm called Serena.” 'Call me Mutt if it pleases you, though.' The white furred added within her thoughts, yet did not allow those words to exit her mouth. They would cause more bad than good for her. It wasn't like she would talk much anyways.
Taking a deep breath through her nose, she tried to identify the age of this canidae, maybe her fragrance would reveal even much more information about her. 'I think she is older... I can't tell... If scents would only reveal the beauty behind the darkness.' A sigh exited her mouth, shaking her head softly. “What beauty?” She whispered between her breath, inaudible for those around her.
Your name..” the words rolled over tongue hesitantly, the canid herself was confused that she was saying this yet could not stop the process. “I... like it.” Her expression remained neutral, not fitting the compliment she made. It was hard for her to smile, being coated in this darkness without a single light for her to follow, it might appear to be reasonable.

'Cause sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough, I don't know why.”

Thought
"Speech"
"Other's speech"

"Sure, Lupa. Whatever you need. What is it?" Mave replied, he seemed so intent to listen. Almost like he wanted to know, wanted to help, but could he? "I'll get back to you in a moment." He said to the other wolf that Lupa did not know. After that the other wolf stopped paying attention and Lupa stepped back a few paces. She wanted for her and him to be the only ones that know about it. "Winter," She began, her voice still strong as usual but you could see the unsure expression in her eyes. Lupa didn't know how she felt. "She, sort of, showed aggression to a new female I saw and I got pretty angry but contained it, asking her why she did it. Another wolf of slightly orange colouration, a male, came up and started accusing me of being rude. He spoke to Winter too. About loving her or something like that. Well, anyway, the male started throwing insults and such which I responded to given my nature of protecting. After they ran another wolf approached me, don't know the name, and started accusing me again. I didn't start anything, just protected someone who said 'hello'. I was told it was a strange act to protect a stranger." Lupa paused, she'd told a long story in a short manor and pretty simply. She wanted to say more but she didn't know how, Lupa didn't like to lie, the way she said it seemed like she did nothing but Lupa knew she did. She wanted to say she did, right now. "On the contrary, I did be aggressive towards them with my stance and tone. Well sort of with the tone because I sound aggressive all the time the way I speak but it was slightly more of an aggressive sort than usual. I just wanted you to be aware and wanted to be truthful. If you want to know more I can explain everything. To the truth. I don't lie, nor do I believe it should be done. So yeah, don't really know why I felt I had to tell you but I just did, you're the closest thing to a leader I've managed to speak to and if you do regain your title then you shall be aware of the situation." She finished. Lupa was aware that she had just made a very long speech out of something so short but it was important he knew, not really something he needed to know but something Lupa felt she could only tell him so far. The other wolves she met either ran in fear, ignored her or showed her aggression. Lupa was just not good at socialising, probably the reason she'd never had a mate or the pups she has always wanted; even though she prefers females.

Keane wrote:He wanted to pretend that he didn't notice Motomo eyeing him. He wanted to act as though he never saw the slow drag of another's eyes roaming over his body, but it was clear, from the way his body reacted to it, that he would not be able to forget easily.

Keane clenched his jaw and looked at his paws, frustration boiling up in him with the compliments that followed him introducing himself. My name is no more unique than the rest of us here... But, as worked up as he was about it, Keane did kind of appreciate the attention he was getting from Motomo, despite the embarrassment it brought him.
Especially when it turned out to be so positive from a stranger, and suddenly negative from the only one he bothered to spend some time with.

A pang of fury shifted through him, not quite matching Didos for his anger easily surpassed hers. What is her problem?
"You don't have to pretend that you like me, Keane. We all know that's not true. I can go, leave you and him," Keanes lips split over his teeth aggressively as Didos eyes slid over to Motomo, raging judgement in her glare. "..Alone, to continue you're very boring conversation, since you seem to enjoy his company more than mine."

It hurt. More than anything he had heard in a while, those words hurt. But, Keane, sweet delicate flower he was, would show absolutely no sign of his pain.
"Canis, Dido!" Keane began, shifting so he was fully facing the adolescent. His eyes were harsh, but the words that followed his opening were worse, tinged with raw, furious exasperation. "Dont be such a little brat; Act your age, because you know damn well that you're the only one in this whole f****** pack that I dedicate my time to."
Spit was flinging itself off of his lips, punctuating each aggravated syllable.
"You are LITERALLY the only one I have spoken to, without prior prompting, throughout my entire time here." His paws began to curl again, and his jaw clenched momentarily, before he continued his verbal rage. "Dont you dare try to claim that I dont like you, because its a shit-faced lie and everyone here knows it."

Keanes voice was gradually increasing in volume, and small, weakened part of him--a hurt part of him, really--told him that he should probably stop.
He didn't want to hurt his poor Dido, after all. She was most, if not everything that mattered to him. His only companion, really.
But he was wounded, and a wounded Keane is a furious Keane.
"Like, what did you think I thought about you, child? I am, nine times out of ten, crawling to you. If we're going to talk about one of us not caring for the other, maybe lets bring up how you're spending time with f****** Kaz!?"
A rocking motion was adopted by Keane, and he began to pace in front of the gorgeous female he devoted so much to, his eyes never leaving hers. "Maybe you should go, if you're going to throw fits when someone else, besides you, decides that maybe Im worth talking to." He wanted to withdraw the statement as soon as he released it, knowing that he pouted just as often when Dido wasn't giving her full attention to him. But, it was too late to turn back now.

Keane forced his gaze over to Motomo, briefly eyeing him and trying to gage his reaction--Horrified? Turned off? Terrified?--before continuing his rant.
"And if you're allowed to do your own thing, why cant I do mine? And I'll have you know, f****** remind you, actually, that he approached me. And who was I with, when Motomo came over?" The accusation in his voice was obvious, and if it wasn't when Dido heard it, Keanes eyes made it crystal clear that it was not his fault that the yearling was being pissy.
"But seriously, if you're just going to pout, the go pout somewhere else, because someone else might actually take the time to understand that when I push them away, its not because I dont love them, but because Im a piece of trash. I thought you would have f****** known, by now."
He was winding down, and it was very clear. His eyes were softening and opening up to leak out the pain he felt. It was hard, pretending what Dido had said didn't hurt.
Motomo and him hadn't even began to speak yet; They'd only just introduce themselves.
"So either shut the hell up, Dido, or leave, because Motomo and I were going to start talking, probably about adult concepts you find boring."
His last comment was, admittedly, a harsh jab meant to cause the female just as much pain as she caused him, but he pretended not to care.
Always pretending.

The Main Den - Page 21 Empty Re: The Main Den

Post by Caro Wed Sep 30, 2015 9:13 pm

CARO:

The expressions she had given all throughout their conversation, he paid attention to. From the slightest flicker of her ears, or the twitch in her muscles. He was aware. He was breathing her air, staring into her eyes, glimpsing their movement.
In a form of touching.
Eye contact gave the same effect to him, as touch would.
"Oh, this is not the first time I've remembered."
His ears lifted to this.
"I wonder about Winter. I wonder about you, too. I wonder what it is about the both of you that interests me."
Immediately his thoughts became harsh, judging.
Why did she care who he was? Why would she want to know?
Just to pry, to look at him, to look at Winter, judging everything about them.
"Maybe I want to understand Winter. Maybe I want to understand why you follow after her."
Everything she was speaking, was causing his withers to stand, his fur to prickle. His entire skin felt searing, something about her words was causing him to react.
"But maybe neither of you care why I wonder. Perhaps that's why we had such a bad first greeting. Perhaps we had wrong first impressions. I thought that you were cold and heartless, and that Winter was simply walking insanity."
At this point he was completely frozen.
Still.
As though his soul was ice.
Nothing about him read warmth.
Just a guard, an armor.
However, the question was what exactly was he protecting himself from.
Emotion?
No.
"Perhaps I was wrong."
She lost her smirk then.
He made note of that.
Then her eyes met his, and something in his stomach flipped around.
The contact, the touch, was unfamiliar to him.
It felt unpleasant.
She then questioned why he followed her, as though it was something able to calculate. As though it were as simple as counting.
Then she finally stopped talking.
There was this silence.
However, she broke it.
"Have you forgotten me?"

Caro finally breathed.
"I don't follow her, because I want to." His voice was void, but then a serious tone invaded it within seconds, dropping it, "I follow her because I need to."
He took a step back, narrowing his eyes, "You see, Makoce," he used her name, an intimate knowledge, "There was a reason I chased after her for the first time. A reason I ignored for a while, but yet lived in it unknowingly."
The male looked towards the trees, where she had vanished, the image of her frightened face, making his heart feel nothing with hollowness and pain.
"At this point, Winter holds my heart," he found himself honest, and sincere, which startled him, "which happens to be something I cannot part with if I wish to live."
He'd hope he had given her enough to quench her thirst for insight on him.
Because allowing others into his thoughts and hold his feelings, was something he loathed, and hated.
Yet, for some reason he found himself willing with her.
It made his nose wrinkle.
"You asked me if I've forgotten you." He twitched his tail behind him.
There was something about his stance, that was strange, and he began to answer her question, when a body was hurled into his chest.
It shocked him nonetheless, and before he could decide on how to react, her scent reached his nostrils.
Some might have turned from it, but it was like perfume to him.
When it came to her, she reminded him of fresh rain, something pleasant.
Something hopeful.
Then it registered.
The contact.
The fear.
Her.
Immediately, his heart beat, coming to life only through her.
He lowered his head, cradling her own frame. His nose buried into her neck, breathing her in.
Just breathing.
Living.
"Winter." he whispered her name, acknowledging her.
Stating her.
Wanting her.
Desiring her.
Loving her.

The Main Den - Page 21 Empty Re: The Main Den

Post by Makoce Wed Sep 30, 2015 11:40 pm

Makoce watched closely. Something about his tone, his stance, his intense stare made her tilt her head. He watched her just as she watched others; the eye contact, the expressions, the body language. She now knew what it felt like from the other wolf's point of view when she watched a wolf for the things that words don't say. An eerie feeling, yes, but she had an appreciation for such an art, it was only held by those with a talent for it. Caro definitely had the talent as well, as Makoce did. Then, he began to speak, a serious tone washing over his emotionless tone.

"I don't follow her, because I want to. I follow her because I need to.

Makoce lowered her eyebrows, confused. She simply didn't understand. She didn't get the magnetic pull, the emotional attachment, the constant thought of a single wolf constantly on one's mind as Caro and Winter felt towards each other; no, none of it made sense, and she couldn't relate to a single thing. But she had spoken enough. She decided to listen to what he had to say.

"You see, Makoce,"

She smirked at this.

Ah, you have not forgotten me completely.

"There was a reason I chased after her the first time. A reason I ignored for a while, but yet lived in it unknowingly."

She knew it before he said it. She knew he loved Winter Somehow, she just knew it.

"At this point, Winter holds my heart, which happens to be something I cannot part with if I wish to live.

This sentence was different. She heard the sincerity in his voice, for it was the very tone of honesty. She wondered if he had meant to tell his feelings to her, if he had just accidentally let it slip, but his confessions were only brief. She saw his nose wrinkle. Makoce nodded along with his words, signaling that she was indeed listening.

"You asked me if I've forgotten you."

Before he could elaborate, a flash of fur caught her eye and she finally broke eye contact - about the same time as he did - to look at the source. It was Winter. She buried her face in his chest, and Caro and Winter once again bent space, and suddenly Makoce was no longer there. She stepped back a moment, unsure if she should say hello to her. She did want to speak to her, but it seemed that Winter had only Caro on her mind. She saw the way Caro looked at her, the way he whispered her name, the way he took a breath of her scent. Indeed, his heart was all Winter's.

Makoce stepped back again, still watching the two. She of course found this a curious thing, she didn't know what love felt like. But she saw it. She saw it the second Caro laid eyes on Winter.

"Hello, Winter...."

She started, but she went silent again once she felt the sting of awkwardness. She couldn't tell if this was a bad time or not. Nevertheless, they needed to have their space.

They probably have a lot to catch up on.

"I'll let you two talk."

She turned slightly to walk away, and she smiled. A real, full smile. Not a smirk, not a flinch of an upturned mouth, not a sly sheepish smile, no; a real one. She picked up the energy of happiness that the two wolves had felt when they reunited, and it made her happy to catch a glimpse of visible love. She turned away completely and started to aimlessly wander around the pack grounds, and she looked up to see that the sun was finally starting to set. Quite an eventful first day back at Riadven.

The Main Den - Page 21 2mcxe1x
Rovva awoke feeling terrible.

Her stomach churned uncomfortably, her tongue and throat were dry and rough and her whole body was sore from days of running. At first she didn't move, didn't open her eyes, didn't give any indication she was awake. She just wanted to lay there and just slip away. To not have to keep running, to not be terrified every single day.

She wanted peace.

But it seemed she would not be allowed peace. At that moment her nose twitched and she realized she wasn't alone. Exhaustion and the realization of another so close clouded her mind and she couldn't think straight. Her body reacted immediately to the fear that coursed through her like a flood of ice water. Her legs scrambled, forcing her body away from the perceived threat, though she didn't get far. Her back hit the bush and she struggled to get through it but she didn't have her usual strength and she managed nothing more than scratching herself on the branches and rustling the bush. Panting, she soon slumped down having used all her energy in her feeble escape attempt. She eyed the stranger warily but, now that she had a chance to take a good look at him, she realized she didn't know him. He was older as well and she knew the clan didn't value elderly wolves.

W-w-who are you?" was all she manged to say with a rough, raspy voice.

((I DUNNO WHAT TO DO BC I WANNA SEE KEANEXMOTOMO BUT THEN MY INNER DIDO IS LIKE. NO. ARGUE WITH KEANE BC HE BAE AND KEEP BEING A BUTTHOLE))
She told herself to not let it show. The hurt. But she did. For a split second, for the longest second in history known to all wolves, Dido's confidence fell, as did her nasty smile. Her shoulders slumped and for that split second, she was silent, her maw slightly parted.
She stared at him, her smile long gone, carried away and forgotten. She shouldn't be fighting him;she should just walk away. But Dido was so clingy and she wanted her friend back, and she wanted the good to outweigh the bad but so far, the darkness was winning. The anger.
It clouded her mind and her eyes, but she wouldn't cry. Her mother didn't raise no weakling. "No, Keane, I wouldn't know that by now. Because that's all you do. All you do is push me away and never let me in far enough to know you. If anything, you're just a familiar stranger."
She paused. She wanted him to hate her and love her all at the same time.
"I'm not a child, Keane. It may seem so by my age, but I've seen and know more than some yearlings my age. But whatever. I'm leaving. I am. I don't want you to talk to me unless you apologize. And only then will I apologize. But until then, I'm leaving, and I hope you miss me when I'm gone."
She turned away.
And walked away.
And she didn't look back.
She could find somebody. Somebody that loved her and needed her and didn't expect anything back from her.
((OMG SHE'S SUCH A HYPOCRITE. BUT YE. OKAY. DIDO OUT. YE. OKIE. YE.))

The Main Den - Page 21 Empty Re: The Main Den

Post by Sirius Sat Oct 03, 2015 6:13 am

Time flows on as Sirius waited for the collapsed figure to wake up. During this time, he also got his rest from travelling. The long trek was increasingly difficult for him and resting would be his main priority once he came back. Though it was not complete relaxation, but a small nap still felt great. Then he felt something shifted from his side. He turned his head to his side while still resting on his paws. The sight before him is that the wolf had awakened and seemingly got herself stuck in the bush' branches.

He could feel the fear in her movements. The effort she has to try and free herself yet could not do so.

A few struggles later the wolf stopped, Sirius guessed that she has used up all of her energy. The old wolf made no motion and remained still to avoid scaring the wolf further. As his gold-yellow eyes met hers, he noticed the tiredness in her eyes as she opened her mouth to speak.

W-w-who are you?"

Sirius flicked his ears at the young wolf's voice and raised his head. "No need to be afraid of me, young one. I mean no harm to you..." he spoke with a gentle yet deep tone. He inched his body to face directly at the small wolf. He crawled towards her as the bush will break if he stood up straight. Slowly, he pulled the branches off of the small wolf thus freeing her from her trap. He then grabs the hare carcass from behind him and placed it in front of the small wolf.

"Here, feed on this to regain your strength." he pushed the hare towards the wolf. Sirius then introduced himself to her "I am Sirius. My apologizes if I scared you, earlier you were lying unconscious on the ground so I moved you here for safety." he explained calmly.

"Thought"
"Speech"
"Other's speech"

"No, Keane, I wouldn't know that by now. Because that's all you do. All you do is push me away and never let me in far enough to know you. If anything, you're just a familiar stranger." The grey one said, she was being pretty rude at the moment considering who she was talking to, someone who she supposedly loved. "Does she even know the meaning?" He thought, Motomo felt kind of sorry for Keane, having to deal with this but then he thought about what the grey one said... "Pushing her away? It doesn't seem that way, Keane himself said that he never spoke to anyone else..." He didn't know what he should believe but he knew what he would believe; Keane. Of course he'd believe Keane, why wouldn't he? Unless Keane decided he'd have to agree with the grey one then Keane would be right in Motomo's eyes. The grey one then decided it was good to carry on, was it? Motomo couldn't know but if it was then she was being rude and actually sounding quite truthful. "I'm not a child, Keane. It may seem so by my age, but I've seen and know more than some yearlings my age. But whatever. I'm leaving. I am. I don't want you to talk to me unless you apologize. And only then will I apologize. But until then, I'm leaving, and I hope you miss me when I'm gone." She said. "Why the hell does Keane have to apologise! What in the world has he done?" Motomo was beginning to feel quite agitated by this wolf but what did he know? He wasn't really there when it started, or was he? Was this all about him? Motomo didn't know or care to be honest, he was getting angry but then he looked at Keane, he didn't want to seem angry in front of him so he stopped, sat down and looked at him longingly. He was trying to not seem to the grey one like he was still turned on by Keane but in reality he was still turned on, he was still attracted to Keane. A lot.

The grey one left. They were alone. Motomo was alone with Keane. He tried not to think that was what he wanted but it probably was, although you couldn't tell. Motomo smiled at Keane, oh how he wanted Keane. He would wait for the beauty to talk to him first.

Baby, we're a
The she-wolf was blind. It was something Lia couldn't get over;not at the moment. Her eyes were captivating;two different colors and yet they were so dull. So lifeless.
It was as if there was no life in the she-wolf in front of her, but there was! Lia heard her breathe. Watched Serena breathe. Watched her talk.
She spoke with beauty and carefulness. Serena was so lovely, it hurt Lia to watch her.
And though Serena complimented Ophelia's name, she didn't smile. She made no facial movement. She was like Lia.
Incapable of smiling;incapable of showing her emotions.
The multi pigmented she-wolf stood, watching the she-wolf that couldn't see at all, and let out a soft air of breathe she hadn't known she was holding. "Oh. Thank you. Are you..here to join?" Her words came out slightly mispronounced, but it was the best Lia could come up with, seeing as english words were still unfamiliar to her.
Freakshow.

"No need to be afraid of me, young one. I mean no harm to you..."

Words ... Words were useless to Rovva. Even actions could lie. Which is part of the reason she flinched so badly when he crawled towards her. All he did was help untangle her from the bush and yet she was still shaking like a leaf by the time he finished. Her mouth started watering the moment the rabbit came into view. Rovva was starving and the fresh meat was almost irresistible. Almost, anyway. Swallowing hard, Rovva looked away and tried to readjust herself into a more comfortable position.

"Here, feed on this to regain your strength. I am Sirius. My apologizes if I scared you, earlier you were lying unconscious on the ground so I moved you here for safety."

"Thank you," she said in an effort to keep with her polite nature. She couldn't bring herself to eat, though, not yet. Her stomach rumbled at the constant smell of the fresh kill. It was far more appealing than the old carcasses she had been scavenging from for the last few months. Eyes like topaz flickered back to the seemingly kind stranger who was still too close for comfort. In an attempt to distract herself from the rabbit, Rovva asked the first question that crossed her mind, "Do y- do you live here?"

Kazimir took his last steps from the decline and returned to the territory he had called home since recently. He hadn't been gone too long, a few days, maybe a week. He stepped solidly to the mossy plateau and made his way back to camp. Familiar pathways curled away from him as he followed the worn one back to the main den.
The bear incident had threatened his view of this pack, but they had handled it well. He hadn't crossed Verine in the mountains, but there were plenty of places he hadn't been, he could have easily missed her. The brute was nearly at the camp when he came across a familiar fae. He grinned in slight curiosity at the female's genuine smile. The sun's red made her fur seem like it was glowing with blood, and he smiled. She was a guardian, she had saved lives, she deserved the mark of a fighter.
“Hello, Makoce.” His russian accent surprised him, he hadn't spoken since he'd left. He blinked and smiled softly. Kaz to Makoce, she seemed at peace, perhaps now she would be less defensive towards his socializing.

Makoce's ears perked at the sound of her name. She stopped in her tracks and looked up, her smile fading quickly, as she realized how long she was holding such a smile. It felt good to smile again, sure, but this was all new to her, these new feelings. She met eyes with Kazimir, she remembered him. His accent hadn't changed, but she didn't mind it.

"Hello, Kazimir."

She greeted. She changed back to her normal smirk, and walked towards him. The day was ending, and the sight of darkening skies always made her feel calm, but the quietness was what got to her. She had no interruptions at night, meaning she was all alone with herself; her worst enemy. But of course, the outside world knew nothing of this.

"Back from vacation, I see."

She was still short on words, but now, after seeing Caro again and realizing that it was her fault that others pushed her away, she was no longer hesitant, she would say what she thought at that moment. Couldn't hurt to push a little harder, right? Others were already too far away from her.

What a thing distance does.

She flicked her tail and started to walk, keeping a slow pace, halfway inviting him to walk with her. She decided to let him handle the conversation now, for that was all she had to say so far. But at least she knew that Kazimir was the persistent type. She knew by the way he always responded when a wolf inquired of him, in addition to the way he handled pain. She still remembered when Topaz relocated his hip bone, and she gave a sly smile to the thought, as she remembered finding the way he dealt with such a pain in an interesting way.

Interesting wolf.

Perhaps he was the closest thing she had to a friend, besides Shun and Roki, but it appeared that hey had left the pack. She felt alone now, and she needed all the help she could get; even though she would never ask for it.

Kaz grinned slightly at the females remark. “Lovely, the sun and beaches were amazing, and the food, oh, you'd never imagine the food.” He chuckled and nudged her gently before his voice returned to it's soothing state.
“How are you feeling? You're looking better from the attack.” He smiled and moved in step with the smaller fae. He gazed to the forest for a moment before speaking absentmindedly.
“I'll tell you one thing about the mountains, Makoce: I've never been so sure that I was alive.”
He hadn't met kind weather in the hills, He's been pushed by the wind at the top, and fought with his paws on shale rocks and been outrun by a rabbit.
He'd never tell Makoce, though, he flashed her a grin and reverted to his last question.
“So how have you been feeling?”

"Lovely, the sun and beaches were amazing, and the food, oh, you'd never imagine the food."

Makoce rolled her eyes slightly, but still kept her smirk. She felt him nudge her, and she flinched. She wasn't used to physical contact, and of course she didn't understand it. But she kept walking.

"How are you feeling? You're looking better from the attack."

She glanced at his hips, and back at him.

"As are you. But you haven't changed much."

She said. She was a little surprised that he asked her how she was feeling. She took a second to recall, and she realized that nobody has ever asked her that question. She was unsure of how to answer honestly without revealing too much about her.

I don't know.

She thought. How did she feel? My, all the adjectives she could use to answer such a question! But she had to choose carefully. But he continued to talk before she could answer.

"I'll tell you one thing about the mountains, Makoce: I've never been so sure that I was alive."

She chuckled softly at this.

"There are no beaches on mountains, Kazimir."

She tilted her head, though. She wondered what exactly he meant by his last sentence.

Adventurous.

She thought. She looked at him, examining his face for a moment. She found him interesting. Perhaps it was his humor that caught her attention, the way he always had a joke on hand. It kind of reminded her of herself, except for some reason, nobody found her funny, really because she was the sarcastic type.

But then he repeated his question, asking her how she was feeling. She finally looked away from him, lowering her eyebrows in confusion.

"Well, my wound has healed."

She answered, shrugging. But she wanted to try to keep the conversation going.

"But it would've been nice if I had saved the lives that the bear took."

She looked down at her paws and watched them move. She wasn't the graceful type, no, she walked like a fighter. Definitely not a warrior's trot, no, they're lighter on their feet. She walked like she was ready to lunge in between an attacker and a victim. She wondered if maybe she had stayed a warrior, if she could have saved the pups.

If only, if only.

"How about you? How have you been?"

She asked. She still wondered what he meant about feeling alive, but she wouldn't ask him yet. She listened for a reply.

((SHANAYA FOREVVVER))
He spoke of his brother with a sadness that clouded his eyes and surely weighed down his heart. She nodded, slowly, gently, eyes sweet. She lifted her gaze to the male, but only because he wasn't looking at her;his eyes was else where, and in that moment, she felt allowed to glance at him;to take in the beautiful black stranger. He had rather thick fleece, and she wondered if one day he would allow her to burrow her muzzle in it.
He was a heavily armoured brute, she realized, as she stared. When he moved, his muscles rippled underneath all that fur;his shoulders were wide;everything about him was strong.
And surely, if one would compare Kannie and Shadow's differences, they would see that the male towered over her, not only in strength but in height. She could only imagine what it felt like to..
She blushed.
The thought vaninshed as she shushed herself, averting her eyes;she allowed herself to stare for too long.
"I'm  s-sorry, S-shadow. You must m-miss him s-so."
Curse my stutter, she angrily spat, eyeing her muddied paws. How unattractive she must look and sound to the male;not that she wanted him to see her that way. ((yeah right kannie huehue))
But maybe it was right;to want someone. Although they hardly knew each other, Kanaya found that it must be a better match than loving a male that had a mate of his own...But of course, again, not that Kanaya wanted Shadow to want her...((omg suuuuuure))
"B-but at least y-you're still here, t-to carry on his memory and s-share his t-tales and stories to those who hadn't the p-pleasure of meeting h-him."
She paused, her canines sinking into the soft pink flesh of her tongue, frowning. Her eyes lifted to Shadow quickly before they lowered and stared at his chest, watching as it rose and fell with each breathe. "A-are you sure you're a-alright?"

Another obsidian shadow neared itself towards them, female but stature masculine. She seemed to be strong with a heavy built, involving herself into this conversation. Her entire body language was screaming protection; Shadow's words must've made her prepared for the worst. Stupid.
At her following words, a slight growl evolve within his throat, rumbling as he was pissed. He hated these words. These worthless words. Words which meant nothing, which changed nothing and will never change anything. It was sickening to hear these words, over and over again. Shadow was sick of it. A glare was shot at her direction but the female left the scenery soon, occupying herself with other canines.
A sigh excited his maw, his head lowering, eyes directed towards the ground. The sorrow and anger was eating him, eating him alive, through his guts and flesh. It was a disgusting feeling, as if something was inside of him and he just couldn't get rid of it. How pitiful. A male with this stature and an ego as big as the moon in such a pathetic situation. 'Stop acting so despicably. You are not a kiddo, idiot. Stop crying like a little crybaby.'
Receptors rotated at the soft words which exited the angel like creatures maw. His eyes slowly averted the ground and landed upon her orbs, yet a soft growl rumbled within his chest. Once again, he was only receiving these words. Such meaningless words. Hatred evolve within him, taking advantage of his situation and his current state of mind. “Stop saying that. I'm sick of these words. They change nothing.” The brute said, half whispering, half growling.
It was true.
So true.
He didn't want to hear these words anymore. And during this moment, he didn't mind growling and snapping at anyone who'd approach him only to say these words which were no longer welcome for Shadow. Even her. This pure white fae, this angel like creature. Not even she'd be safe. 'She's just like the other's. No one cares but that's totally fine. Just stop acting like you'd care. Dammit.'
But then. Then she continued. Continued speaking, continued comforting him. And these words made his eyes widen greatly. He stared back at her, quietening his growl and he would only stare into her eyes with his maw slightly dropped open.
She was right.
She was different.
She cared.
Slowly averting his gaze from her face, the brute would once again stare at the ground, clenching his jaws, holding back all the emotions which craved to be let out.
At her question, he nodded, lifting his head, leaving his pathetic-self behind. He would show more confidence, he would act the way he used to. Why? Because she was right. He was still here, able to carry on his memory. Shadow was still alive and that was everything that counted. As long as he was not dead, his brother, mother, father, hell, everyone he knew was not dead. Because they continued living in his memory.

Thank you.” He started, smiling softly at the petite damsel, slowly stepping closer and coming to a halt in front of her. The canine leaned down and whispered softly “Thank you so much.”

He wondered what had driven the wolf before him to such fear. From the moment she woke up her actions are all jumpy. The urge to help the female is quite real to him, but there is also a risk that he might just spook her on her way again. Though it is none of his business yet Sirius couldn't help but want to reach out to the female. Maybe seeing her demeanour reminds him of his youngest daughter when she was a pup. His eyes closed for a moment as the image of her came up to his mind, a little smile came upon his face.

His thoughts were put on hold when the female wolf thanked him. The yellow eyes opened and gazed straight at her. Seeing her being so shifty reminded him that he maybe quite scary cause of his size. Sirius thought of someway to help ease her tension, so he moves away from the she-wolf giving her space as well as the hare.
"Do y- do you live here?"
Her voice once again filled his eardrums. The old wolf took a moment to think about how to explain his situation. He lowers his head onto the ground sighing in a calm relaxed tone, eyes away from the female and looking at the sparrows hopping around outside their safe shrub.

"You could say that. A few months ago, something urged me to leave this place. It was only for a while though." his mind flew back to the time he bid his sons farewell. He fell silent for a few minutes yet felt like an eternity. "I would've gone with them, but my old bones are no longer fit for it." the old wolf unknowingly spoke with his heart. His eyes went back at the she-wolf as he opened his mouth once again.
"Don't be afraid. If you feel insecure, tell me and I'll respect your borders."

Kazimir nodded with a grin, “On my journey through the mountains I realized I'm actually quite a prize as I am, so I didn't change.” He shrugged simply and smiled at the female as she complimented him looking better, he took this as a compliment, as he would anything else a female ever said to him.
The guardian smiled as she said there were no beaches, and chuckled, “You certainly know your geography, madame.” He smirked and winked, “I like that in a fae.” He was clearly teasing, but in a flirtatious way.
His eyes quieted on her next statements, “I wasn't asking of your injury Makoce, I was asking of your mind. I agree with you, though, to have kept the lives that were taken would have been a blessing, but there was nothing we could do, and nothing we can change now. We will grieve for them and honour their memories, but we'll move on and be stronger because of them.”
He returned his grin, but not entirely, there was a tint of mourning in his accent now. “My wounds have mostly healed as well, my hip is healthy again, but I've come across a few new ones that don't plan on healing any time soon I believe.”
In the mountains he'd endured the harsh environments where trees refused to grow, and discovered why that was. He'd gone through an illness that he had hardly gotten through, dehydration and hunger, but he refused to show it. He held his smile and flirtatious glint despite his memories, he was happy, nothing could change that so soon after a family had adopted him.

On my journey through the mountains I realized I'm actually quite a prize as I am, so I didn't change."

Makoce rolled her eyes at his joke, as it somewhat came off as cockiness.

"Is that so?"

She said, sarcasm heavily tinting her words. He then complimented her on her "geography skills," and she smirked at this.

"I like that in a fae."

Makoce flinched, and her heart skipped a beat. She was confused at such a sentence, it made her curious to ask him why. She looked at him, eyebrows lowered, her lips searching for a question.

Do you like me?

She thought. She almost had the guts to say it, too, for she lip synced her thoughts. She looked away, though, just in case he was able to read lips. She then remembered Topaz, and how Kazimir looked at her and talked to her, and also the way he looked at all of the other females. Her shoulders sulked.

He probably likes every other female too.

But then again, she had almost no social skills.
He then proceeded to speak, saying that he was asking of her mind instead of her physical wounds, and agreed with her about the pups.

"But there was nothing we could do, and nothing we can change now. We will grieve for them and honor their memories, but we'll move on and be stronger because of them."

Her chest tightened and she held her tongue to the roof of her mouth, trying to hide the grief that she was already feeling. She didn't understand.

How can you move on from the death of three young lives? They were so young...

She took a deep breath and gathered herself, listening as he continued to speak.

"But I've come across a few new ones that don't plan on healing any time soon I believe."

Makoce stopped in her tracks and looked at him. What did that mean?

"What? Are you still hurt? I might could take you to see Topaz again."

She said, speaking before she thought, something she didn't usually do. She was curious about him, she could sense in his voice that there was something else he wasn't telling her. But she had no clue what it was. She wondered if now would be a good time to ask if he liked her, but she wanted a reply from him about his wounds first.

The Main Den - Page 21 2mcxe1x
"You could say that. A few months ago, something urged me to leave this place. It was only for a while though."

Rovva relaxed slightly as the elder moved away as much as he could, giving her room. Perhaps he sensed her unease, her fear, at having him so close. For a moment she thought back to her actions, her movement since she awoke here in this bush; it would have to be quite an oblivious personality to not realize her discomfort. Her tall ears, which were already flattened, flicked slightly. She needed to control herself. She wasn't in any obvious danger ... she knew from the moment before the passed out that the wolves here were all strangers to her. That was the most comforting thought to her right now.

Her ears perked up slightly when he spoke. So he used to live here ... but he left to be with his family - Rovva felt a slight pang in her heart; she had no family left - and he was just returning, a few months later. That meant he knew nothing of what he was walking into. The pack may have flourished in his absence and he could be returning to everyone he knew and more or the entire pack could be filled with wolves he didn't know. None of this really meant anything for Rovva, she certainly - hopefully - wouldn't know any of the members here, it was just a way to occupy her thoughts for the moment.

"Don't be afraid. If you feel insecure, tell me and I'll respect your borders."

"I'm sorry, I'm ... I h-h-haven't been ... d-d-d-" she stopped, took a deep breath and tried to find enough words to form a coherent phrase, "I'm not used to being around others ... right now." Rovva surprised herself getting out that one sentence without stuttering. She didn't dare try again just yet and she hoped he wouldn't ask why. She wasn't ready to talk about it just yet and certainly not to a stranger she had just met. In an attempt to seem not-so-pathetic she leaned down, sniffed the rabbit and, when she deemed it safe, tore into it.

Kaz smiled softly at the female's tightening expression as he had mentioned the pups, and he felt her grief melt through his fur. She seemed to be taken aback when he flirted at her, and he chuckled so many things he could say or do would cause her to react. She was interesting, her expressions were interesting, not quite readable and not entirely explainable though.
She asked of his wounds and the male contemplated his answers, he knew the wounds would go away, but there wasn't much point in the femme taking him to a healer for something that couldn't be healed with herbs. The cuts in his paws had healed over, but there had been rocks inside. It was painful, but it would fade in time.
He shook his head gently, “No, my femme, but thank you for the offer. It would be time wasted.”
He smiled charmingly at the female and turned towards the lake, perhaps a swim would strengthen his muscles and relieve some pain from the grains within his paws. He looked behind himself at the fae and nodded his head for her to walk beside him.

"No, my femme, but thank you for the offer. It would be time wasted."

Makoce looked at him for a moment, pondering what he said, wondering if his smile was hiding anything. He kept walking, taking a turn, looking back at her and inviting her to follow him with a nod of his head. She sighed silently, hesitating for a moment, but decided to follow him. She caught up with him, again walking by his side. She scanned the ground for a moment, organizing her thoughts together briefly before blurting out,

"Alright, I'm going to be blunt for a second here. I'm just going to ask; do you like me? As more than a friend?"

Before allowing him time to respond, she added in,

"And if you do, do you like all of the other females equally as me? And if you don't, I'm sorry to have made you feel awkward, if you do, but I just have to know. I'm not one to beat around a bush."

She said, but her last sentence was a bit of a lie without meaning for it to be.

What do you mean? You have never been straightforward. You have always heated around the bush.

She thought. But at this point, after going through what she did in such a short amount of time, she figured that there was no longer a point in hesitating, she might as well be blunt, she hadn't made a real friend yet. Nobody knows of her past or why she's always hidden her true self behind sarcasm and jokes.

"After the past few days that I've had, I figured I might as well just ask. No point in spending time wondering what the answer is, I'd rather just hear it from you."

She said, shrugging. She finished talking and perked her ears, ready for any response that he might give. It made her wonder,

Do I like you?

But what did she know?
